I can't believe it. I got my cable bill the other day and the fees went up yet again. It's crazy how much I have been paying for these crap channels. Sure, there are some good shows out there but now I am wondering if it is really worth the price. The problem is though…..I really like to relax in front of the tube.
The problem is the amount of channels we need. The kids need their cartoon channels (and so do I because the kids would be driving me bananas if they didn't have cartoons to watch! LOL). The wife needs her women's network and some other channels….food channel too. And I've got to have Spike tv, A&E and a few others. All these channels add up in price!
This got me thinking of the different free to air options that are out there. I have been reading a bit about these tonight but still haven't made a decision on what to use yet.
I also found a satellite tv to pc software that I can use. Luckily, I do have a high speed internet connection…why not use that to get my tv shows. If you don't know what I am talking about, click the pic below:
Anyone visiting this ever try the satellite tv to pc software? I think I will give it a go and see how it works out. I can connect my laptop to my big screen tv and watch tv that way. Maybe even set myself up with a wireless mouse and keyboard.
